Bran Crunch Muffins:

The harvest goodness of three different seeds, in a nutritious, bran-packed mini-loaf.

1 cup                         Boiling Water                                         250mL
2 cups                        Nabisco 100% Bran Cereal                   500mL
½ cup                        Margarine                                              125mL
2 tbsp.                        Poppy Seeds                                         25mL
1                                 Egg                                                         1
½ cup                        Milk                                                         125mL
½ cup                        Firmly-packed Brown Sugar                 125mL
2 tbsp.                        Molasses                                                 25mL
1 ½ cups                    All-purpose Flour                                    375mL
¼ cup                        Sesame Seeds                                        50mL
¼ cup                        Sunflower Seeds                                     50mL
1 tbsp.                       Baking Powder                                        2mL
½ tsp.                         Salt                                                           Pinch                

GREASE large muffin tins or line with paper baking cups.
POUR boiling water over cereal, margarine, and poppy seeds in a bowl; stirring until
margarine melts. Cool.
STIR in egg, milk, sugar, and molasses.
COMBINE remaining ingredients in large bowl.
STIR cereal mixture into dry ingredients, stirring just until moistened.
SPOON into muffin cups, generously filling each to the top.
BAKE at 400oF (200oC) for 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
COOL. Store in airtight container.
MAKES 12 large muffins.
